The Herndon High School Band program has been a part of Northern Virginia since 1947, making it the the oldest established high school band in Fairfax County. Herndon High School Bands About Us Founded in 1947, the Herndon High School Band (affectionately called the 'Pride of Herndon') is the oldest school band program in Fairfax County. The band program includes Marching Band, Color Guard, Indoor Drumline, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphonic Winds, and Wind Ensemble. The program has been recognized as one of the best band programs in Virginia. Herndon Hgih School Marching Band SPONSORSHIPS For over 75 years, the Herndon High School Band program has inspired thousands of Herndon’s students by providing them with meaningful musical education, exceptional leadership training, organization, and management skills for future success. We invite you to help us build on this rich tradition and advance the program into the future by becoming a sponsor. Your contributions enable us to maintain and replace instruments and uniforms to ensure that the "Pride of Herndon" always looks and sounds its best during marching and concert performances. Funds received from sponsors are also used to pay for specialty clinicians, and contributions noted below will go directly to reducing the cost per student of the trip to Pearl Harbor.
