ESOL Liaison

Supports the members of our Band community that may not speak English as their primary language 

• Serve as a welcoming point of contact for Spanish-speaking families, helping answer questions, connecting them with the band program, and ensuring they feel informed, supported, and included.

• Connect the band with school resources by partnering with the school's Family Liaison and other support staff to help band families access information, services, and opportunities.

• Promote clear and inclusive communication by assisting with the translation of key announcements, forms, and event information, and by identifying communication needs within the Spanish-speaking community.

• Build relationships and encourage engagement by welcoming new families, encouraging participation in band activities and volunteer opportunities, and helping remove barriers to involvement.

• Advocate for Spanish-speaking families by sharing feedback, concerns, and ideas with the Band Parents Association Board and collaborating on initiatives that foster a more inclusive and connected band community.
