On Saturday, September 27, 2025, The Pride of Herndon invites you to the Annual Showcase of Bands —one of Virginia’s largest marching band competitions— at Herndon High School.

From morning until night, 30+ high school bands from across the region will take the field in one of Virginia’s biggest marching competitions, performing in size-based groups and judged on musical and visual excellence.
The Pride of Herndon will present their 2025 show "Icarus" at noon, and Herndon students will be on hand to welcome guests and keep the day running smoothly. Come experience a full day of music, precision, and community spirit!

Established in 1947, award-winning Herndon High School Band is rightly known as “The Pride of Herndon” and celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2023. It has grown from an original 40 musicians and 6 majorettes to 200 students strong. The band program includes Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Symphonic Winds, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, Indoor Drumline and Indoor Guard. The band has not only achieved myriad awards and honors and represented internationally - but instilled a love of music in countless students. Further information can be found at www.herndonband.org.
