The Herndon High School Pyramid concert is a unique event where students from several elementary schools will join the Herndon Middle School and Herndon High School concert bands to showcase their collective talent and perform together at the Herndon High School Auditorium on 26th March 2026, at 7 pm. This year, the *Pyramid Concert is dedicated to the memory of Ms. Erica Hirt. The concert is free and open to all members of the community. We invite you to come spend an evening supporting young musicians and music education. The grand finale of the Pyramid Concert will be at the gym with the Indoor Guard doing their last performance of the season. Please walk over to the gym to encourage the performers and support the Guard.
*The concert will be live-streamed on the Pride Cam. Please refresh your browser at the time of the concert to access the live recording. Videos of the recording can be downloaded from the Herndon High School Band YouTube Channel.
From the Class of 2026:
The Senior Class of 2026 first had the opportunity to participate in Area Band as 5th graders in the spring of 2019. Some were selected and began preparing to perform in the Pyramid Concert in 2020, but the event was canceled due to the pandemic. For the next two years, the Pyramid Concert remained on hold before it was finally able to return.
Band has always been a collaborative program, where seniors and underclassmen often share the same class and perform together in marching and concert bands. Through these shared experiences, students build lasting friendships and a strong sense of community within the band. Ms. Erica Hirt, who was actively involved with the Pyramid Concert, designed tuxedo t-shirts for all Area Band members, which we wore at the 2019 Pyramid Concert with pride as being part of the selected group playing with the older students. At this concert, members of the Herndon High School Wind Ensemble will wear pins featuring Ms. Hirt’s tuxedo shirts in her memory.

Looking forward to this concert
