Homecoming Parade and Football Game 

8:00am Students report in show shirts and black socks/shoes. Get dressed in uniform.

8:30am Load school busses to take us to parade line-up

9:15am Line-up

9:30am Parade step-off. Following the parade, school busses will return students to HHS.

10:45am Put uniform jackets and instruments in Auditorium (eat in bibbers).

• Eat lunch in sectionals/senior celebrations.

• Students plan their own meals.

11:50am Put on full uniforms again.

12:00pm Family warm-ups

1:00pm Kick-off

4:00pm Approx. return time to band room.

• Prepare uniforms for dry cleaning. Dismiss together.

SPECTATORS:

Spectators are encouraged to line Elden Street between Locust Street and Lynn Street and cheer on the band, class floats, cheerleaders, elementary students, young athletes and the many clubs and organizations who join in the celebration!

The parade route extends along Elden Street from Locust Street/Sterling Road to Lynn Street.

Street closings and detours will occur between 6:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

6:30 a.m. - Locust Street restricted to local traffic only via Center Street; no access from Elden Street.

8:00 a.m. - All side streets with access to Elden Street closed, with homeowner access only. This includes Grace, Main, Peachtree and Ferndale from Vine Street (enter at Center and Vine Streets); and School, Spruce, Lillian Chase, Nathaniel Chase, and Grace from Locust Street (enter at Center and Locust Streets).

8:30 a.m. - Lynn Street in both directions closed; including access from Nachman Way, Dyer Court, and Station Street.

8:30 a.m. - Station Street municipal parking lot entrance at Station Street closed – use the Center Street entrance.

9:00 a.m. - Center Street on either side of Elden Street closed.

9:30 a.m. - Herndon Homecoming Parade BEGINS!

9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. - Elden Street from Monroe Street to Sterling Road/Locust Street closed.

Residents living in this area will have local access only, and may be rerouted.

Parade parking will be available in the municipal surface lot at Station Street and the Herndon Municipal Center lot.

All routes will re-open between noon and 1:00 p.m. as the parade clears.
