"JMU Concessions will be doing CASHLESS CONCESSIONS this weekend. Please help us spread the word and hopefully you will be able to notify your students/parents in time to plan for this. We apologize for the late notice."


1:30pm Report wearing show shirt, black socks, and marching shoes. Marching fundamentals on field (parents load uniforms onto trucks)

2:45pm Load Front Ensemble into trucks

3:15pm Load charter busses (bring dinner/snacks and pillows; all drinks must have screw tops)

3:45pm Depart Herndon

5:45pm Arrive at JMU - Unload equipment and change into uniform – there will be no privacy! 

6:45pm Move to UREC field

7:00pm Warm-up Area B (30 minutes) – tune and run show

7:40pm Walk across campus

7:55pm Gate

8:10pm Perform

Group photo at Duke Dog statue

Walk back to buses to change out of uniform. Bring a separate set of clothes to change into after we perform. The forecast is for COLD weather.

Visit concessions and watch other bands – we will sit together in the group seating

10:40pm JMU Band performs, followed by the Award Ceremony

11:40pm Depart JMU

1:30am Unload busses, equipment, and dismiss together     

                *students will call home about 10 minutes before we return to school

 

  • The Pride Route Tracker is LIVE!  Follow along with our trip home for up to date timing using https://www.herndonband.org/trip-tracker The password is same as all other pages (see Kathleen's 10/1 email for password )

  • No food or beverages (not even refillable water bottles) are allowed in the stadium. All bags will be searched before entry. Bring money for concessions if you want to purchase anything after we perform.

  • Any medication needed at the competition should be checked in with First Aid.  Students should hold onto their own inhalers and epi-pens.

  • Bring DVDs to watch on the bus. Only G and PG movies are allowed. All movies are shown at the discretion of the band staff.
