Band Orientation

We look forward to welcoming you to our 2026-27 Band Orientation on Monday, June 8^th. We will start in the cafeteria at 6 pm with dinner. Park near Door 11 (see below). Be on the look out for student leaders in their Pride of Herndon “Icarus” show shirts.

Here is the schedule for the evening:

• 5:45 Check-in begins

• 6:00 Dinner served

• 6:20 Welcome/Opening remarks

• 6:35 Students to Auditorium/Parents stay in Cafeteria

• 7:55 Closing remarks

Students should bring instruments as they will be playing. For those who need instruments, we will make sure we assign them one for the summer. Guard will get equipment assigned.

Students will be meeting their section leaders and section mates. Parents will be getting to know the role of a high school band parent.

We will need the Emergency Care Form and Marching Band Commitment form (if your child is marching) the night of the event. Please bring completed forms to the meeting if you are able. We will have hard copies available.

All must complete the online 2026-27 Band Registration Google Form (Thank you to those who have already completed your registration). This will allow us to disseminate information over the summer in preparation for the upcoming school year. Marchers and non-marchers should complete this registration.

Hola, familias de la banda "Pride of Herndon"!

Esperamos darles la bienvenida a nuestra sesión de orientación de la banda para el ciclo 2026-27 el lunes 8 de junio.

Comenzaremos en la cafetería a las 6:00 p. m. con la cena. Por favor, estaciónense cerca de la Puerta 11 (ver detalles más abajo).

Los estudiantes deben traer sus instrumentos, ya que tocarán durante la sesión. A quienes necesiten instrumentos, nos aseguraremos de asignarles uno para el verano. Los miembros de la guardia (Guard) recibirán su equipo asignado.

Los estudiantes conocerán a los líderes de su sección y a sus compañeros de sección. Los padres conocerán cuál es su papel como padres de integrantes de una banda de escuela secundaria (high school).

Necesitaremos el Formulario de Atención de Emergencia y el Formulario de Compromiso de la Banda de Marcha (si su hijo participará en la banda de marcha) la noche del evento. Por favor, traigan los formularios completados a la reunión si les es posible; de ​​lo contrario, tendremos copias impresas disponibles.

Todos deben completar el formulario de registro de la banda para el ciclo 2026-27 a través de Google Forms (gracias a quienes ya han completado su registro). Esto nos permitirá enviar información durante el verano como preparación para el próximo año escolar.
