About The Event
Welcome to the 2025-26 Pride of Herndon High School Band! Thank you for choosing band as one of your electives! We look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence and welcoming all to our larger band family. We will officially begin the band year on Tuesday, June 10th at 6 pm at Herndon HS.
All should enter through back of the school - Door 8.
Parent Agenda
6:00pm Meet and Greet begins in the Lecture Hall (parents and student leaders will point you in the right direction). Meeting with the HHS Band Parent Association and what to expect during your time as a high school band parent will follow. A lot of opportunity to help support the band will be discussed.
Student Agenda
6:00pm Report to auditorium. Bring your instrument if you have your own. Meet your section leader and receive music. We will have instruments and rental contracts for those who need something to practice for the summer.
6:30pm Sectionals with instruments
7:15pm Return to auditorium to play together
7:45pm Announcements, calendar, summer checklist
8:00pm Dismiss – Complete any checking out instruments and turning in wind rental forms/payment ($55 for marching, $30 percussion - cash, or check to Herndon High School. MSB product will be available July 1st)
Students only:
Download BAND app (free) on phone and Marching band members join 2025-26 Pride of Herndon MB group:
Review the band calendar (especially the band camp timeline)
Practice the music you receive and memorize as much as you can (Start with the SSB).
Parents only:
Complete 2025-26 registration google form with your child if you have not already done so. This is for all students registered for band (marchers and non-marchers)
Marching Band Students – Bring signed “Pride of Herndon Marching Band Commitment Form” to make sure you have a spot in the marching band! We will have copies available on Tuesday if necessary.
Parents and students:
Placement Auditions - The list of ensemble placements for those who auditioned will be sent next week. Students will be moved into the correct class by student services – no extra work for you!
