Jazz Band

The Jazz Band is an ensemble designed to promote the study of jazz literature, emphasizing improvisation and styles of the jazz idiom.  Students meet after school starting in November and receive a half credit for course participation. The instrumentation of the ensemble varies each year but generally reflects standard Big Band instrumentation (Saxophones, Trumpets, Trombones, and Rhythm Section – Drums, Piano, Bass, Guitar, Vibes, Auxiliary Percussion)
