VBODA Marching Assessment on Saturday, October 23

Where : Patriot High School in Nokesville, VA

Performance time : 2:45 pm

Adult tickets to VBODA are $6; students and seniors are $4.  Please come watch and support us!  More information can be found at

Directions to Patriot High School from Herndon HS (45 minutes):

  • Take Herndon Parkway to Sterling Road to 28 S

  • Take the ramp onto 66 West

  • After 9 miles, take Exit 44  to Virginia 234 S/Prince William Parkway toward Manassas/Dumfries

  • Merge onto VA-234 S/Prince William Pkwy

  • Turn right onto Sudley Manor Dr

  • Turn left onto VA-215 E/Vint Hill Rd

11:00am – Arrive and in position at WWII memorial

11:05am – WWII Veteran Angel “Manny” Maldonado, Army Paratrooper and glider Army 11th Airborne; Mr. Leon Spychalski, US Army PFC served 1943-1948 

11:10am - Special Presentation– Presidential Medal for Volunteerism

11:15am – Linganore HS Band, Kevin Llyod Patriots On Parade, by Robert W. Smith in honor of the WWII Veterans

11:20am – Herndon HS NJROTC places WWII wreath, Taps – Luke Zeman, Hinsdale High School

11:23am – Tohopekaliga HS Choir, Janelle Kaufman America the Beautiful and To Those Who Served, Jill Gallina

11:30am – Mass Bands Perform: Armed Forces Medley, Conducted by CSM (ret) Mitch Spray, former Command Sergeant Major and Drum Major of The United States Army Band, “Pershing’s Own.”
