The HMS Bands program uses Yahoo! Groups to communicate important information about events, schedules, policies, and other band-related communications. These are an important way to stay informed about band-specific events and announcements. There are a number of groups, including the HerndonMSBand group for general band information, as well as dedicated groups for each individual ensemble. All families of band students who have electronic mail access should register at least one parent's address with both the main group and the group for the student's current ensemble. You are welcome to add additional addresses, including those of band students, as desired.

You will only receive information relevant to the HMS Band program, and only the Director and designated band board members are allowed to post to these groups. You do not have to be a member of Yahoo or have a Yahoo ID to sign up.

Two notes: If you have a spam filter on, please be sure to add Yahoo! Groups to your approved list or these messages may be sent to Trash or Junk Mail. When responding to messages, do not reply to Yahoo! Groups, but respond directly to the contact person listed in the body of the message.
