A VOLUNTEER according to Webster "is someone who offers themselves for a service of their own free will."  The Herndon Band program is fortunate to have so many parents willing to help.  During a typical band year, more than 10,000 reported volunteer hours have been accumulated.  This makes us one of the top 10 volunteer organizations in Fairfax County.  Our band program could not function at such a high level without the support of all parents.  Some parents are able and willing to invest large amounts of time and effort to the band program; while others may not be able to do as much.  Please remember that there are many ways to get involved, every little bit helps.

The band program needs all families to help.  The following is a list of HHSBPA volunteer needs:
