Summer Band CampsSummer '08 Band Camps

Have you started thinking about how your child is going to spend his/her summer?  How about band camp?  This is a wonderful opportunity for students to continue playing, and polish skills they've worked hard to acquire during the school year.  Students will gain confidence for next year, and interact with like-minded students.  Here is some basic information concerning two of our local and reasonably-priced camps:

Vienna Band Camp
The Vienna Band Camp will be held at Longfellow Middle School in Falls Church, VA.  The camp starts on Monday June 23rd, and runs through Thursday July 17th.  The camp operates 8:30am through 12:30pm each day.  The cost is $180 per student before June 13th, and $200 after the 13th.  Email Richard Sanger at Richard.Sanger@fcps.edu for additional information.

Franklin Band and Orchestra Camp
The Franklin Band and Orchestra Camp will be held at Franklin Middle School in Chantilly, VA.  This camp commences on Monday June 23rd, and finishes on Friday July 18th.  The camp operates 9:00am - 1:00pm each day.  The cost is $160 per student if paid before June 2nd, and $170 after that.  Information about the camp can be found here, and an application form for the camp is located here.

Additional information and application forms for summer band camps are also available in the HMS band room.
