 2009-2010 Drumline (June 16, 2009)
Congratulations to the following individuals who are members of the 2009-2010 Herndon Drumline:

 2009-2010 Marching Band Update (updated June 11, 2009)
Great news! Marching fees have been dropped for the 2009-2010 season to $400, with concert fees remaining at $100. Many thanks to the parent volunteers who have made this possible through their fundraising efforts. As a reminder:
- Friday, May 29th: The Student Data Form and Financial Agreement were due with $150 deposit. Forms/payment can either be left in the Red Box or mailed to HHSBPA, PO Box 1293, Herndon, VA 20172.
 2009-2010 HHSBPA Board (June 5, 2009)
The 2009-2010 HHSBPA Board of Directors was elected at the Band Banquet on Friday, June 5th. Click here to see the list of parents who will lead the association through the 2009-2010 school year. Contratulations to the new board members, and thank you for your service to the Herndon band program.
 Monthly HHSBPA Board Meeting (updated June 8, 2009)
All band parents are invited! It may be summer, but the HHSBPA board is already planning the fall band activities. Come and learn about the upcoming events and volunteer opportunites.
The next meeting of the HHSBPA Board is on Monday, July 13th. The board typically meets the first Monday of each month. Due to the July 4th weekend, this meeting has been moved back one week. All HHS Band parents are welcome. Please consider attending to keep informed about the various band events.

 2009-2010 District Band Etudes (June 3, 2009)
Here is the list of District Band etudes for the 2009-2010 school year. These same pieces will also be used for Wind Ensemble chair placements when we return to school in September. If you do not own the books already, they are a great investment! You can also see Ms. Schoelwer for copies of each piece.

All band students and parents must sign up for the appropriate Band Blasts (Yahoo! Groups). These are the primary means of communication for news and announcements throughout the Pride of Herndon. Click on the Yahoo! Groups title above for more information and to enroll in each group. Click on any of the individual groups below to enroll in that group.
NOTE: Please sign up for three or four different Yahoo! groups:
- The General Band
- Your Band (Wind Ensemble or Symphonic Band)
- Percussion Ensemble (if you are a member)
- Your Class (2010, 2011, 2012 or 2013)

 Harris Teeter VIC Card Now Benefits Herndon Band
Harris Teeter now has an account on the VIC card that will send funds directly to the band program. If you do not have a card yet, you can sign up online at www.harristeeter.com (code 6075). If you already have a card, you can either ask the cashier to link your card to the program, or you can stop by the service desk to sign up. The card brings benefits of savings and entry into their frequent prize programs. The band receives 5% of all purchases of Harris Teeter private label products. Please note that the high school also has a code, so be sure to ask specifically for the band program - 6075 - to have the benefits sent directly to the band program.
